A little research reveals that Bill Gray played with Syd Barrett in Stars not the Last Minute Put-Together Boogie Band.

On Monday Angus Whitehead came to interview me about my involvement with Dolly Mixture for a book he is writing. He pointed me to a fantastic web site with TONS of free downloads: http://www.overtheweather.com/dollymixture/
I have been busy trying to organise digital masters from the Mick Stevens tapes. Trouble is Shadok Music need them urgently but are not prepared to pay London rates (£120 per hour). So I'm left to ring round all the cheapo local studios in search of appropriate equipment and rates.
I got confirmation last evening that we have been granted permission to hold Stephen's Musical Celebration in St Andrew's Parish Church, Sutton at 7:00pm on Monday 12th December 2005. Yippee! But I'm still waiting to hear from the Dean & Chapter of Ely Cathedral re a possible afternoon event there.
Pitched the idea of a Spaceward Studios radio documentary to Nick Barraclough (of Smooth Operations) who remained completely unconvinced by my arguments. He was generous enough to suggest that it might appeal to a niche audience at BBC Radio 6 but since the total audience for this station is around 45 people...
Mike Gott of Gott Discs was much more open to my ideas - particulary in re-issuing lost/missing/forgotten/negelected items from the Spaceward Archive. Mike will do some preliminary research and get back to me.
