Ed came last evening and we worked on "Be Somewhere This Christmas". We deleted much of what we'd added the previous week until what remained sounded 'right'. One loop in particular, a triplet rhythm Ed made using Fruity Loops, adds energy and forward motion to the chorus. We sampled some snatches of the Queen's Speech and experimented adding these.

I worked on EQ'ing the LMPTBB improv. It now sounds better to my ear but it's only an offline so it doesn't have to be 'right'.

Really sorry to say "Farewell" to Ricardo Odriozola who completes a 3 year cycle of diarising here at the FZ - it's been a priveledge to share a little of his life and insights and I hope he'll return in 2008 :)
